I liked Ryan Choi, too. He was a bit more interesting and he seemed to be naked a lot in his own comic as i recall, lots of nudity before the costume thing was figured out. The non-politically correct thing to say, of course, is that a small, Asian man is almost redundant, but I have Asian male friends who have used that joke long before I ever did.
Several years ago, someone at DC tried pushing the idea of a little more ethnic diversity in their heroes. All-new characters are a lost cause among the current audience, so they looked for characters they could overhaul. One instance was to replace a B-list hero with a fairly generic white-guy-scientist secret identity, and who’d been pretty much AWOL for a while, with a new Asian character in the same role, one with a unique personality. Of course the middle-aged white-guy fans weren’t interested in Ryan Choi, so his series got canceled, and to satisfy the death fetish of the current superhero market, he was killed off.
I love Ryan’s foreskin! He’s now my favorite Atom! (Until Roy Palmer or Al Pratt shows some ‘skin!)
Something tells me you might like Superboy, coming up next week.

I was going for irony with “small Asian man”.

But I like him.
